EY runs a large consulting practice and, separately, its strategy and transactions business, EY-Parthenon. As at the other Big 4 firms, they're different jobs and different applications.
Which one is for you?
- EY-Parthenon: strategy and deal-related work, such as commercial due diligence for private equity. Closer to the strategy firms.
- EY Consulting: technology, business transformation, risk and people consulting for large organisations.
If you're applying to both banks and consultancies, EY-Parthenon is the natural fit. If you want long projects helping big organisations change how they work, EY Consulting is.
What the CV should show
- Teamwork in large, mixed groups.
- A real interest in the area: technology, risk, people.
- The basics: grades, one page, a number in most bullets.
