This page explains what Eight Second CV does with the CV and details you give us. Questions: hello@eightsecondcv.com.

What we collect

• The CV you upload, and the review we write from it.
• Your email address, if you buy a full review or a human rewrite.
• For rewrites: the target firms, deadline and notes you give us.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, so we can limit how many free reviews one person runs a day. We don’t keep the IP itself.
• Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we use it for

Only to write and deliver your review or rewrite. To write the automated review, your CV is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it on our behalf and doesn’t use it to train its models. We don’t sell your data, share it with employers, or use your CV for anything else.

How long we keep it

We delete your uploaded CV and the contents of your review 30 days after upload. We keep a record that a payment happened, for accounting, without the CV or the review.

Your rights

You can ask us to send you a copy of your data or delete it sooner by emailing hello@eightsecondcv.com. If you’re in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
