Lakeside Capital Advisers

Lakeside Capital Advisers is a small advisory boutique. What we know, and how undergraduates should approach firms this size.

Lakeside Capital Advisers appears on lists of up-and-coming advisory boutiques, but there's not much public information about it, and several unrelated firms use similar names. Before you spend time on an application, check you've got the right one.

What I'd do

  • Confirm who they are. Find the website and the partners' LinkedIn profiles. Where did the partners work before? That's usually the clearest guide to what a boutique does.
  • Read their deal list. If they don't publish one, look for press releases that name them as adviser.
  • Email, don't wait for a scheme. Very small firms don't usually post internships. A five-line email and a one-page CV is the normal approach.

And apply to the big programmes as well. A small boutique is a good extra route, not a plan on its own.
