How to get into Raymond James

Raymond James is a large US financial firm with a middle-market investment bank. Who it hires, where, and what undergraduates need on their resume.

Raymond James is based in St Petersburg, Florida, and is mostly known for wealth management: it has thousands of financial advisers across the US. It also runs a middle-market investment bank, Raymond James Investment Banking, advising on M&A and capital raising for mid-sized companies.

Is it for you?

It's mainly a US application. Analyst hiring is in US cities. If you're a UK student, it's not a priority unless you can work in the US.

For US students, it's a solid middle-market bank with a big platform behind it, and often less competitive than better-known names.

On the resume

The US middle-market basics: GPA if strong, a finance internship with numbers, a leadership role with a result, and an early application.
