Credit Suisse graduate scheme and internships

Credit Suisse no longer runs its own graduate scheme. It was taken over by UBS in 2023. Here's where to apply instead and how to list it on a CV.

If you're searching for the Credit Suisse spring week or summer internship, you won't find one. Credit Suisse was taken over by UBS in 2023, and its investment bank was folded into UBS. There's no separate Credit Suisse programme to apply to any more.

Where to apply instead

  • UBS, for the closest equivalent. Many former Credit Suisse bankers are now there.
  • Deutsche Bank and Barclays, the other big European investment banks with large London analyst classes.
  • The elite boutiques, if it was M&A advisory you were interested in.

If Credit Suisse is already on your CV

Keep it. A Credit Suisse internship or spring week was a competitive programme and still tells a screener you passed a bank's selection process. Write it so nobody has to wonder:

Credit Suisse (now UBS), London Summer Analyst, Investment Banking

Then write the bullets as you would for any bank: what you worked on, how big it was, what changed because of you.

Check how your CV reads to a bank screener.

Questions

Does Credit Suisse still exist?

As a brand it's being phased out. The bank is part of UBS.

Should I remove Credit Suisse from my CV?

No. Write "Credit Suisse (now UBS)" and keep the entry. It's still a recognised name.
